Any marketing or PR campaign takes a lot of work and effort, but what good is planning and executing a campaign if you aren't monitoring it?
There is a lot that goes into setting up a campaign, however, there is a lot more behind the scenes — or should we say screens — that will aid in its success. You need to actively monitor your campaigns, see if they were successful, and make necessary changes — this is known as campaign tracking.
When monitoring your campaigns you should focus on:
- what the objective of your campaign is, and
- what metrics you want to track.
There are also a few perks to monitoring your campaigns, such as:
- ROI
- knowing how the public is perceiving your campaign (sentiment analysis)
- making data-driven adjustments, and
- understanding your audience.
